Candidate for Newton Regis
My name is Chris Clark and I am standing as your Labour Party Candidate to represent the communities of Alvecote, Austrey, No Mans Heath, Newton Regis, Seckington, Shuttington and Warton in the North Warwickshire Borough Council elections, on May 2nd.
I am delighted to have been selected to represent you and promise to stand up for you and our community. I’ve lived in North Warwickshire my whole life. I went to school here, I’ve worked here, and I live here now as a proud resident of our rural Borough. I’ve previously been a Warwickshire County Councillor where I was committed to always being accessible to residents and in helping them, in any way that I can.
As your Borough Councillor I will defend communities from the enormous housing and commercial developments, that the Conservative Council have proposed to build, in our Ward. I will fight to protect our green spaces and ancient woodlands. I will be a Champion of our Young People and work to create greater opportunities for people to succeed. I know how much we all value our rural community, but we shouldn’t expect less in the way of services from our Councils. We’ve become an area that gets part time services, despite being asked to pay more.
It angers me to see the impact, negligence, of the Conservatives at the Borough Council, has had upon our communities. I promise to make sure that our voice is heard within the Council and fight to improve our villages.
