Simon Rose
Borough Councillor for Polesworth West

I am a proud Polesworthian and have lived in the village for most of my life. I grew up here, went to school here and am now raising my three daughters here with my wife Leanne. I am passionate about the culture and heritage of our community and became a Parish Councillor on Polesworth Parish Council in November 2017.
I am a double graduate of the University of Warwick and qualified Social Worker, presently working for Warwickshire Children’s Services. I have previously worked as a Youth Worker and Classroom Assistant on a voluntary basis, and as a Mechanical Engineer for over a decade prior to this.
I will work tirelessly to bring solutions to the issues that are important to residents of Polesworth:
- Tackling local parking issues.
- Investing in the local parks, in both Polesworth and Birchmoor.
- Protecting the future of Polesworth Sports Centre.
- Bringing new business and investment into the village.
I will also work with my other Labour colleagues to fight the Conservative housing plan, which will be disastrous for the residents of Polesworth; overstretching our local services, creating traffic chaos and changing the intrinsic culture and character of our village for good. I am committed to serving this community and its residents, not the interests of rich property developers.
