Councillor Hayden Phillips
Candidate for Wood End, Hurley & Piccadilly
Hayden Phillips has lived in this area for all his life and currently lives in Wood End with his wife. As a local, Hayden knows the issues that face local people and has worked hard over many years to try and help local people.
Hayden is involved in a number of local community groups, including Wood End Village Hall, where he helps keep the center open as a valuable community asset. In this rural area, Hayden knows the importance people place on the countryside and will always fight to protect it from rich property developers who want to concrete it over. Hayden opposes Conservative plans to build 10,000 new homes in the Borough, mainly around the A5. Hayden supports new affordable housing but not on this scale and not all in the wrong location.
Improving public transport, providing better access to services and improving parks and open spaces are three key priorities for Hayden if re-elected in May 2019.Over many years, he’s played a leading role in local forums such as Health, Education and Economic Development, helping to bring jobs to the area, developing community assets and increasing recycling rates.
Hayden is proud to represent the villages of Wood End, Hurley and Piccadilly and if re-elected will continue to speak out and work for them.
