Candidate for Arley and Whitacre
I am born and bred in Warwickshire and live in the New Arley with Julia and my daughter. I have worked in business development and represented West Midlands’ colleagues in industrial relations roles within a global organisation, and tutored industrial relations in secondary education and universities.
I head a Warwickshire community group that challenges injustice and supports the vulnerable, and I am a member of Keep Arley Sports Centre Open group, and of Arley Sports Centre.
As a local resident, I am standing for election to ensure our community gets the strong representation that it needs and deserves at the Borough Council. I will stand up for local people against the harsh effects of government cuts to council budgets. Cuts which have resulted in, the switching off of street lights, the sell off of Arley Sports Centre and plans to cut £21 million from our local education budget
I strongly believe that educational opportunities and occupational reward are something that your local council should be fighting for. I also believe that all residents should have the right to live in a clean and present environment where they feel safe and secure.
I am a fresh face on the local political landscape with a strong work ethic and an ability and determination to succeed. I will work tirelessly for local people and the local community, and will not shirk my responsibility in providing strong representation for all local people.
