Dave Parsons
Borough Councillor for Polesworth East

I have lived in Polesworth since 1980. I worked as a teacher in a Birmingham comprehensive school for 33 years and then spent 5 years working on the canals locally. I have been an active member of the Abbey Church throughout my time in Polesworth, have undertaken voluntary youth work in the past, am a member of the patients forum and have been a governor of the Nethersoles School for over 10 years. I have served as a Parish Councillor for nearly 13 years.
In May 2013 I was elected as the County Councillor for this area and was then re-elected in 2017. Since becoming a councillor I have worked to improve flooding issues and to bring about road resurfacing where possible. I have been heavily involved in children’s services, chairing the scrutiny committee in this area for two years and I have given support to residents with regard to housing and welfare issues. My commitment is to serving this community.
