A by-election has been called on Coleshill Town Council following the resignation of former Town Mayor, Harry Taylor.
Keith Doyle has been selected as the Labour candidate and the election will take place on Thursday 4th May.
Keith said “I’m delighted to be standing for the Town Council in this by-election. I’ve lived here now for nearly 30 years; I love this town but I think we could make it even better.
I served in the West Midlands Police for over 30 years and in my spare time I’ve been actively involved in the community. Since 1997 I’ve been Chair of Coleshill Social Club, most recently helping lead the huge £200,000 improvement to the building which has seen membership grow and bookings increase.
I now want to play my part in helping continue to improve our town. The Town Council has made huge improvements in the last few years, the Memorial Park being just one of many brilliant projects. I want to ensure this hard work of modernisation of both the Council and the facilities it owns, continues both now and in the future.
I look forward to speaking with local people over the next few weeks and I hope very much to gain their support on Thursday 4th May.”
