Chair: Owen Granfield

Facilitates meetings, decisions and ensures the local party operates fairly and openly by ensuring everyone is listened to and has their say.

Vice-Chair for Campaigns: Julie Jackson

Stands in when the Chair is not available and helps the other officers make sure everything gets done. Leads on campaigning which involves planning and delivery of plans for candidates at several levels of local government.

Vice Chair for Membership: Emma Whapples

Leads on engagement and retention ensuring the local party grows, and members feel valued, are up to date on how they can get involved and get as much as they can out of their membership.

Secretary: Chris Clark

Acts as the figurehead in the local party who organises and ensures everything gets done.

Treasurer: John Harrison

Takes charge of the local party’s finances, and helps the local party build the financial resources to run effective campaigns by setting budgets and fundraising targets.

Youth Officer: Jake Braithwaite

Youth Co-ordinators take the lead on recruiting and engaging young people, ensuring that young members get as much as they possibly can out of their membership and that they have their say in the local party. Youth Co-ordinators head up all of the events aimed at young members and keep all of the young members in their area up to date with everything that’s going on.

Political Education Officer: Mike Jewkes

Organises and facilitates regular political education events and discussions.

Disability Officer: Mike Jewkes

Represents disabled members and ensures the local party engages with disabled voters.

LGBT+ Officer: Chris Clark

Represents LGBT members and ensures the local party engages with LGBT voters.

Trade Union Liaison Officer: Danny Aldington

Strengthens the link between affiliated trade unions and the local party.

Communications and Social Media Officer: Simon Greenaway

Works to provide an active communications strategy, and increase the local party’s profile and campaigns in local press and broadcast media (Communications). Co-ordinates a presence online and helps run integrated campaigns using digital channels alongside more traditional methods (Social Media).
