Atherstone: Neil Dirveiks
'Atherstone is a unique town with a wonderful sense of community. I am very happy to make it my home.'
Hello. I am Neil Dirveiks. For the last eight years I have represented Atherstone at Warwickshire County Council. Since 2009 I have represented Central ward at North Warwickshire Borough Council.
I came to Atherstone at the start of my teaching career in 1979 and made the town my family home since. I met my wife, Lorna at the local school. We worked together as councillors for the town until her recent death and we have worked hard to promote the well being of residents. We have supported them with many issues such as housing and the environment.
We became involved with many activities in the town, including Local Heritage and Tourism. I support education in the town as a member of the Children’s Centre Board, Governor of Outwoods School and as a Trustee of the Queen Elizabeth Foundation that supports students at the Queen Elizabeth Academy. I am committed to continue to do everything I can to support our community and to safeguard and improve the quality of life that we enjoy here.
Atherstone is a unique town with a wonderful sense of community. I am very happy to make it my home.
As your man at county, I will continue fighting to stick up for our town and to make sure your voices are heard.
